Page One Tracker

Page One Tracker compares the front page (版面一) of 28 Chinese state and provincial newspapers daily. People's Daily (人民日报) serves as the baseline. Each provincial newspaper's front page headlines are compared against People's Daily using character-level Jaccard similarity. Articles with a similarity score above 0.4 are flagged as reprints. Sources where front page data cannot be reliably determined are marked accordingly. This tool does not capture all forms of editorial alignment — identical framing, rewritten headlines, or thematic echoes that fall below the similarity threshold will not be detected.
